August 8 is World Cat Day again. Presumably, on this day, the number of cat photos and cat videos cousing on the Internet will reach an annual high. Therefore I come this action day before and put together cat photos without cat. Only this one features two kitten backs. It’s a testament to how cat photos are making their way onto the internet. But otherwise? It’s fine without a cat. Besides, I’ve read that dogs have long been the new stars of irrelevance on the web.
The trail of the cat
Here now a small selection of photos, each with a hint of cat. For example, the cat paw, whose associated cat head probably could not read the HInweis “Freshly painted” and left a delicate paw print.
In the alleys of the French town of Dole, small brass signs with cat motifs embedded in the ground guide tourists from one attraction to the next. Cats also hang in the alleys of Dole as a nose module à la Aristocats.
Warning against free-roaming decoration
My good intentions not to show any cat on Cat Day are already thrown overboard with the following photos. After all, they are not time-consuming videos and my cats are not particularly cute. They just fit well into the picture composition. But it’s also a fact that these photos would never have been taken without a cat.
