Our articles deal with tourism in the broadest sense and our responsibility for the world. It is about sustainable tourism, which combines environmental protection, social responsibility and economic compatibility. The focus is also on personal responsibility and the ethical dimension of travel. Transformative tourism promotes personal development through travel experiences. Conscious Travel and Slow Travel focus on inner attitude, mindfulness of the consequences of one’s own actions and decelerated, intensive travel with longer stays. The concept of regenerative tourism, which is not only sustainable but also actively brings about improvements, is relatively new. Authentic travel focuses on genuine cultural encounters and original experiences. Community-based tourism involves local communities and strengthens them directly. Tourism with a focus on climate protection and nature conservation – so-called green tourism – is just as much a part of effective travel as social impact. We have chosen the generic term responsibility because it fits all of these aspects.
